Programs and Services
Our goal is to provide both immediate relief and long-term healing for survivors,
ensuring they have the resources they need to rebuild their lives.

Financial Assistance
We provide immediate financial support to families struggling with the costs that arise after a gun violence-related loss. This includes funeral expenses, rent, utilities, and support for dependents. Many survivors find themselves financially overwhelmed, and our financial aid helps alleviate some of that stress, allowing them to focus on healing. For example, we recently helped a family cover funeral costs and basic living expenses, giving them the time and space they needed to grieve without the added worry of financial instability.

Grief Counseling and Trauma Support
We offer culturally responsive grief counseling and trauma support to help survivors process their emotional pain. Our trauma-informed care includes services like TraumaFocused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which has been proven to help reduce PTSD and foster emotional resilience. These counseling services help survivors manage their grief and emotional distress while working toward long-term recovery. Families who have utilized this service report feeling better equipped to cope with their loss and regain a sense of control over their lives.

Peer-Led Support Groups
Peer-led support groups provide survivors with a safe, understanding space to connect with others who have experienced similar losses. These groups foster community and shared healing, reducing feelings of isolation. Survivors find strength and solidarity through their interactions with others who truly understand their pain, making this service a vital part of our support network..

Resource Kits and Community Advocacy
We provide resource kits that include vital information on legal aid, mental health services, and life insurance options, ensuring survivors have access to all the tools they need to rebuild their lives. We also engage in community advocacy, working to raise awareness about the needs of gun violence survivors and promote systemic change at local and state levels.

Support for Mothers of Incarcerated Children
We provide specialized support for mothers navigating the challenges of having a child incarcerated due to gun violence. This includes peer-led groups tailored for mothers, financial assistance with legal fees and family needs, and counseling designed to address the dual trauma of loss and incarceration. By supporting these mothers, we strengthen entire families and help prevent cycles of stigma and generational trauma.
